William Byston WORRELL and
Katie Leola HERRING met when she was eight and he was thirteen years old at school in Iredell . They were married on Christmas Eve, 1905, by Johnny COATS, at the home of Katie's parents, Mr & Mrs. Bud HERRING. Byston was a truck farmer and sold vegetables for 25 years. The WORRELL's lived in Iredell and were members of the Iredell Baptist Church until 1945 when they moved to Bellmead. There they were members of the Bellmead First Baptist Church. They celebrated a total of 71 years of marriage together. Donated by Rose DENSON |
