SEMINOLE WAR (1836) - James M. Easterling  served in Capt. John S. Mean's
Cavalry, attached to 42d Georgia Regiment (Maj. David Ross) during the
Seminole War of 1836.

b.17 June 1801 in Ga.   d. 9 July 1882 in Walton County, Ga.
married 20 July 1837 in Walton Co. Ga.  Lucy Ann Haynes (daughter of Greenberry)
b. 21 Aug.1821 Georgia   d. 19 Oct.1896 Walton Co. Ga.  They had 7 children.
James and Lucy were buried in the Tanner Cemetery in Walton Co. Ga.

James fought in the 503rd Ga.  James received a grant in the Cleggs Miitia District in the 1832 Gold Land Lottery.  His widow, Lucy Ann, filed for a widows pension on 27 September 1892.
