I am seeking any information on Jemima Kilgore Still, wife of Martin Still. She was born November 7, 1820 and died June 20, 1902 and is buried in the Still family cemetery in Walton County. Does anyone know anything about her parents or her siblings?

ERASMUS (RAS) KITCHENS MARRIED PERLY(PERLIE), (PEARL), (PEARLY) WOOD IN WALTON COUNTY ON DEC. 24, 1906.

THEY WERE TOGETHER ON THE 1910 CENSUS, BUT RAS WAS LISTED AS A WIDOWER.  I CANNOT FIND WHEN OR WHERE SHE DIED.  ARE YOU RELATED IN ANY WAY?

I would like to know if anyone knows what the connection might be of Middleton CURITHERS to the LOCKLIN, ZACHRY, HAYGOOD, DILLARD or TREADWELL families. When I visited the LOCKLIN Cemetery in Walton Co., this is the only grave of which I could not make a connection. In browsing all the listings on the Walton Co. Rootsweb Page, I have found only 1 other with the a different spelling - CARITHERS. It is the listing of John R. CARITHERS, 1818-1908, in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Monroe on Spring Street. Middleton CURITHERS was the son of J.R. and M.E CURITHERS, born 1853 and died in infancy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Our Grandfather was Albert Martin, Sr. We were wondering how can we find out if he submitted the deed to our family plot in the court house of Monroe, GA? His father was Tyler Martin and was a slave when he was growing up. We were wondering if there is a way we can also find out who his father was. Tyler Martin's father was his slave master.

Enoch E. McCollum (b 1832, d 1862) enlisted as a captain in the 42nd Georgia Infantry Regiment and died shortly afterward in Loudon, Tennessee of measles. His record says he enlisted from Walton County. In 1850 he and his parents (William and Esther Edwards McCollum) lived in Cherokee County. Can anyone tell me whether or not Enoch had a family in Walton County, perhaps by checking the 1860 census?

I am not sure that Walton is the correct county, but I want to run this by someone. I am looking for a school that was called "Virgil Powers School". My grandmother would have attended it as a small child in the early 1920's. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

My 3 great grandfather, Thomas Hardaway Mitchell, married Ruth(ie) Tillery, (we think in Oglethorpe CO>) and they lived in Walton CO> They are buried 2 1/2 miles north of Social Circle in the old Mitchell graveyard.I want to find out more about Joshua Tillery, (Ruth(ie)'s father), who came to Walton CO at the same time as the Mitchells.
