Adams Cemetery--Monroe, GA The following directions by: John Lowell HAYES Beginning at the Walton Co Courthouse go N on Broad St. to E. Marable St. Turn Rt. on E. Marable and drive until you cross US 78 bypass. After you cross 78 there is a Y in the road. Marable is on the left and Birch is on the right fork. Take the Marable or left fork. This becomes Gratis Rd later on. Travel NE to the Gratis Community(approx. 6 1/4 miles from 78 bypass). Turn right on either Mt. Vernon Road, Shoal Cr. Rd, or Partain Rd(I'm not sure which is the correct road name but it is one of those) and drive toward the SE for about a mile to the intersection with Michael Rd. Alcovy (Old) Cemetery--Bold Springs, GA Directions by Walter COX GA 81 from Loganville toward Winder, past Shiloh Church to , left on County Road 16, [no name given on map] immediately after crossing the Alcovy River to junction with Loth Wages Road. Cemetery is on the left at this intersection. Some Etchisons and Sumerours, among others, in identifiable graves there. Latitude:

Alcovy Mountain Baptist Cemetery--The following directions by: Ida BOYCELocated at the corner of H. D. Atha Road & the Monroe Jersey Road. It is probably about 4-5 miles West of Monroe. The following directions by: John Lowell HAYESFrom Walton Co. Courthouse go south on Broad ST. to Alcovy ST. Turn right on Alcovy and drive until you intersect with H.D.Atha Road. Allgood Cemetery--The following directions by: Ida BOYCE Located Just East of Walnut Grove, GA, off Hwy. 138. Last burial was in 1927. The following directions by: John Lowell HAYES Beginning at intersection of St Hwy 138 and St Hwy 81 at Walnut Grove travel NE on 138 to just beyond the city limits of Walnut Grove and just past Forester Cemetery RD. Ammons Cemetery--The following directions by: John Lowell HAYESBeginning in Monroe at intersection of Broad St. & W. Spring St. go South on Broad St to Alcovy St., & take a right on Alcovy St; go to Ammons Bridge Rd. Follow Ammons Bridge Rd. until you are about 1/4 mile past the Alcovy River. Annie Mary Cemetery--North of--Social Circle, GA Variant name: Herndon Cemetery Directions by: Walt FOSTEROn Hwy 11--Go south on Hwy. 11 through Monroe and on down toward Social Circle. It is about 4/5 miles south of Monroe..Annie Mary Baptist Church is on the left.. the cemetery is on the right several hundred feet from Hwy 11...It is hard to see from the road...there is a gravel road that runs up to it , as I remember...I was there about 15 years ago...The cemetery needed a lot of cleaning up then... It was grown over...Tombstones sinking and being knocked off their base by roots. Baptist (Old) Cemetery--Monroe, GA Directions by Walter COX: The first cemetery in Monroe, near the Baptist Church (both the old and present day), also known as The Walker Cemetery (for the abundance of Walkers buried there). The entrance is across the street from the First Methodist Church, in beautiful downtown Monroe near CVS, and on Monroe-Jersey Road. Barrett-Hanson Cemetery--Same as Kelly Cemetery, Monroe, GA, below On Harmony Church Road. The following directions by:John Lowell HAYESFrom Good Hope community go southwest on Pleasant Valley Rd about 1 3/4 miles turning left on harmony Church Rd for about 1/2 mile. Barton-Edwards Cemetery--Directions by Walter COX The present owner of the land will not admit there is a cemetery there! It's on US78, on the south side of the highway, about 200 yards before the highway crsses the Alcovy River , and an undetermined number of yards south of the highway. The following directions by:John Lowell HAYES From intersection of Broad ST. and Spring ST. in Monroe, go south west on Spring St. The cemetery is just outside the city limits on the left and just south of the junction of Spring St. and USBP 78. Bay Creek Missionary Baptist Cemetery--The following directions by: John Lowell HAYES(Book: IN REMEMBRANCE, calls it Bay Creek Church Cemetery) Beginning in Loganville, GA at intersection of ST 81 & US 78, travel north on ST 81 (also called Winder RD) about 2 miles, turning right on Bay Creek Church Rd. & go to junction with Shiloh RD. Cemetery is in that junction between the two roads.

Bell Family Cemetery--Winder South, GA (near Oconee County Line) The following directions by: John Lowell HAYES From the community of Gratis go northeast on Sims Bridge Rd. approx 2 miles. You will pass Jug Rd on the right. Bell Cemetery is just past this junction on the right side of the road. It may be several hundred feet off the road. Cemetery is on the left side of Piney Grove Rd. & about 3/8 mile back from the junction with Piney Brood Dr.

Bradley Cemetery--Near Campton, GA **This private cemetery was established in 1839 when a 17 month old child required burial. Cemetery is located about 50 yards away East of the original home place & about 60 feet from the road. The family was buried on the upper end of the cemetery & the servants (& their family) are buried on the end nearest the road.**

Brand Family Cemetery--Loganville, GA----Photo--donated by: Edie BRAND--Located on Hwy. 81, near Gwinnett County Line; Travel NE on Hwy 81 past Loganville for about 2 miles. Turn left onto Watson Mill Estates Dr. The house on the corner faces Hwy 81, then there will be 4 more houses on the left. Next is a vacant lot, follow the path up the embankment at the line of trees. It will lead you to the cemetery which is contained inside a chain link fence. There are only two cemeteries on Hwy. 81 between Walnut Grove and Loganville, one is Corinth and the other is Walnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. Corinth has a new fairly large sign in front, so you can't miss it. Old Barnett Family Cemetery--The following info by: Bert BARNETT: on Lower Jersey Road near the Walton-Newton county line is not mentioned. It is on private property, a good distance back from the road and is very poor and grown-over condition. It still contains(or did, at last visit) three headstones. The cemetery is catty-corner across the road from the old Barnett house, a brown structure that sits at either 4379 (I think that's it) or 4720 Lower Jersey Road. (Turn left for approx 1/2 mile to Peters Cem. #2(BLACK). It will be on the left side of the road.) Continue on Atha (Harmony Road) for about 2 miles to Queen Cem. Road.(Queen Cemetery is located down this road about 1/8 mile and on the north side of road.) Continue in a SE direction on Harmony Road another 2 miles to intersection with Knights Cem. Road. Smith-Moore Cemetery--located on Bold Spring Rd. It is about 200 yards off the road, it is easy to spot if you look for two large chimneys. There is an open gate and a walk between large pecan tree that guides you to the cemetery. Sorrells-Brooks Cemetery--**From Monroe, on Hwy 11, turn left at Bold Springs Road. Go past Burson Clinic, on right, to 4 houses on the left. Turn in the yard of a white house & you can see a lane behind it. Go up that lane a short way to the cemetery. You can see the lane from the road.**
