I am seeking the parents of Henry Gregg ELLISON, born in 1805 in Tennessee
and first mentioned in any land records in Cherokee county was in 1836.
He came to Cherokee county from Dekalb county. In 1837 he and his wife
Hannah (maiden name unknown) helped to organize and charter New Bethel
Baptist Church. The children of this couple that are known are; Richard
Lumpkin Ellison Elijah Gregg Ellison (my ancestor), John Ellison, Zachariah
Ellison. Lucinda Ellison, Louisa Ellison, and Dallas Ellison. Henry died
in January 1861 and is buried in Cherokee county. In the settlement of
his will it states that his widow sold the land and moved to Walton county.
Any information on any of the people above would be welcome, but especially
on Henry and Hannah. E-mail any replies to jayjay@arn.net.

1862. He was a prisoner of War at Camp Chase, Ohio for a period during
the war. When released from the prison he returned to his residence in
Clarke Co. He married Cynthia Adazoe HUGHES) BULLOCK, a widow, on 14 March

traveled around to the jobs. His brother George married Lucy Ann Hughes,
Cynthia's sister. Cynthia, Lucy, and George Williams moved to Gwinnett
