I can't believe my luck to have found your site for the exact area that
I am searching. I am searching for any information regarding a Kennedy
family that lived in Walton County. I have located John C Kennedy in Henry
Co in the 1830's. he had four sons, Robert J, William F, James A, and Joseph
M (my great grandfather. The family somehow moves from Henry to Walton
Co. The next information that I have been able to find about Joseph is
that he joins the army in Clarksville Texas in Oct 1861, was severely wounded
at the battle of Murfeesboro. After the war he was married in Mississippi
and returned to Newton Co Ga and apparently went into the mill business
with his brother James A in 1866 and there it apparently ends. The 1870
census shows his wife and her new son back in Louisville, Ms living with
her father. I am assuming that he may have died after 1866. I am most interested
in Joseph but also very interested in all of his/my relatives. I would
appreciate any information you might be able to give me Charles McFarland
