Turecky My 3rd great grandfather that lived there in 1820 was
William Elison (Ellison also spelling). Wife was Mary Eliza Gragg from
S.C.; her father was Henry Gragg mother Elizabeth Jones Gragg. William
Elison was on Walton Cnty census 1820 with 7 males 16 and under a 1 female
child 16 and under. The tax list I located showed he did not own property.
My William died about 1826 only rcords of Mary Eliza Ellison with chldren
after that in DeKalb Cnty. Can you suggest other avenues to research from
possible clues; also, can you tell me how to locate Baptist church records
of Walton County in 1820 and where they might be located. I am trying to
find names of the children and wife to correctly identify this as MY William
Elison. Next - where was he fro m?
